Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

In the optional R-Performance package, the high-performance estate has two additional driving profiles. In Special mode, all key drive parameters are designed for demanding race tracks such as the Nordschleife. The Drift driving profile opens up a new window of driving dynamics away from public roads and significantly increases driving pleasure and safety when driving cross-country. The four driving profiles "Comfort," "Sport," "Race" and "Individual" are available as standard. Using a button, the driver can adjust the ESC to his needs in two stages and deactivate it completely for all driving situations in "ESC off" mode, with the "Front Assist" environment monitoring system and the evasion assistant reactivating the full ESC system in an emergency. The 1,984 cm2 four-cylinder turbocharged "EA888" engine develops 235 kW (320 hp) in its fourth expansion stage. That is 14 kW (20 hp) more than the predecessor model. Maximum torque increases from 400 Nm to 420 Nm. It is already available at low engine speeds of just 2,100 rpm and remains constant at this high level up to 5,350 rpm. The new engine naturally complies with the current EU6 AP emissions standard. A new brake system with 18-inch brake discs is used on the front axle. This means they are one inch (25.4 millimeters) larger than on the predecessor. The new brake is constructed with pin discs and an aluminum brake pot, which reduces the weight per side by 600 grams. A speed-dependent identifier in the electronic brake booster (eBKV) ensures fine dosage. The visible components of the brake system are bathed in striking blue, with the R logo as a visual exclamation mark.
