The new Porsche Macan - First Macan with rear-axle steering and two-valve dampers

Source: AUTOMOTOTV (Glomex)

Porsche has developed the new Macan with a strong focus on the brand's typical driving dynamics, high everyday comfort, and a characteristic steering feel. Both the Macan 4 and the Macan Turbo have all-wheel drive. The two electric machines are controlled almost in real time via the power electronics. The electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) adjusts about five times faster than a conventional all-wheel-drive system and can react to slip within ten milliseconds. In addition, the all-wheel distribution depends on the selected driving program. The Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), an electronically controlled rear-axle cross lock, contributes to traction, driving stability, and lateral dynamics in the Macan Turbo.
