The new Ferrari 812 Competizione A Highlights

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

The 812 Competizione A offered the Ferrari Design Center the opportunity to use the modifications required for the rear of the car to create a truly memorable architecture. The concept of the strut arch - long a beloved part of Ferrari tradition - harmonizes effortlessly with the arrow theme of the front created by the slat, giving the body of the car the impression of forward strutting, but also a very different connotation to the coupe. The car's center of gravity seems lower, especially in side view, not only because of the roof and wraparound windshield that blends into the side windows, but also because the rear strut arches are lower than on the 812 Competizione. With the targa roof open, the roll bars partially protrude above the rest of the body, but because they are made of carbon fiber, they become secondary visual elements and thus do not detract from the wider, stockier stance created by the buttress arches. This enhances the visual lowering of the side view.
