Although the Stuttgart restaurant Ritzi Gourmet has once again been awarded a Michelin star, chef Ben Benasr announced its imminent insolvency on Tuesday. The Michelin-starred restaurant, which is considered "French-creative" and "modern", has been located in the City Gate not far from Stuttgart's main train station since January 2020. It is not yet clear exactly when the restaurant will close. It could be May. Reasons for the closure include coronavirus, water damage in the building, rising rents from a foreign ownership group, the investor's exit and the difficult search for good staff. Added to this is the long-term illness of the head chef.
