The new Kia Sportage - European all along the line

With a total output of 195 kW (265 hp), the new Sportage plug-in hybrid is the top motorization of the SUV. The standard all-wheel drive part-time electric car can drive up to 140 kilometers per hour purely electrically, can be charged from 10 to 100 percent in just one hour and 45 minutes and has average CO2 emissions of 26 grams per kilometer. The drive range also includes two petrol engines (110 or 132 kW/150 or 180 hp) and one diesel (100 kW/136 hp), each of which has a 48-volt mild hybrid system that reduces CO2 emissions compared to previous engines reduced by up to 16 percent, depending on the engine and version. Depending on the version, the mild hybrids are available with front or all-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission or seven-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT). A non-hybrid variant of the entry-level petrol engine with manual transmission and front-wheel drive is also available exclusively for the basic Edition 7 version. The look and character of the fifth generation Sportage are shaped by the new Kia design philosophy "Opposites United". Distinctive elements of the front design include the detailed black grille graphic that runs across the entire width of the “face”, the standard LED boomerang-shaped daytime running lights and the adaptive dual LED headlights (if equipped). The profile pays homage to the sportiness that has always characterized the model. And the powerfully sloping hatchback merges into “razor-sharp” taillights that give the impression of cutting into the body. In the decidedly sporty top version GT-line, the SUV is available for the first time in two-tone paintwork with a contrasting black roof. There is a total of 22 color variants to choose from (depending on the version and drive variant)
