Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck - The Design

Daimler Trucks is focusing on the hydrogen-based fuel cell in the electrification of its trucks for flexible and demanding long-haul applications. The goal is ranges of up to 1,000 kilometers and more without a refueling stop. The truck manufacturer already began intensive testing of the first new, enhanced prototype of its Mercedes-Benz GenH2 Truck, which will be unveiled in 2020, at the end of April - marking an important milestone on the road to a series product. The developers at Daimler Trucks are putting the fuel cell truck through its paces. The focus of the wide-ranging series of tests, which are extremely demanding for the vehicle and its components, includes continuous operation, different weather and road conditions, and various driving maneuvers.
