Volkswagen Golf GTI "Clubsport 45" with special profile

Even after the development of the Golf GTI Clubsport S, Leuchter was always at the Nürburgring for development drives. At the wheel of the Golf GTI Clubsport, Golf GTI "Clubsport 45," and Golf R, he completed around 250 to 300 test laps, or about 6,500 kilometers. Like its performance siblings, the Golf GTI "Clubsport 45" is equipped with the "Special" driving profile developed at the Nürburgring: "I played a big part in its development: dampers and transmission were adapted. The suspension is softened so that you have more grip on the bumps. The throttle response is sportier, the engine feedback more direct. You go a bit more to the mechanical limits. That's perfect for the Nordschleife, the waviest highway in the world," says Leuchter. "I drive my car a lot in Nürburgring mode, even on country roads. The Special driving profile is a great fit for everyday driving."
