SUV duo with sporty tuning - the new Porsche Cayenne GTS models

"Typical of GTS, the drive system takes on a special significance: instead of the 3.6-liter V6 biturbo from the predecessor model, a V8 heart beats once again under the hood of the Cayenne GTS. With 338 kW and 620 Nm of torque, the four-liter biturbo ensures significantly improved performance in all disciplines. Both GTS models with Sport Chrono Package manage the sprint from zero to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, the top speed is 270 km/h. A performance-oriented suspension with lowering, an independent design and upgraded equipment round off the new GTS package. With the four-liter V8 biturbo engine familiar from the Cayenne top model, an in-house development by Porsche, the new Cayenne GTS now delivers 14 kW (20 hp) and 20 Nm more than its predecessor. This results in significantly improved driving performance, which applies equally to the new Cayenne GTS Coupé: The standard sprint from zero to 100 km/h is now 0.6 seconds faster than before with the Sport Chrono Package. The top speed has increased by eight km/h. At the same time, great importance has been attached to efficiency, to which the optimally tuned eight-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission, adaptive cylinder deactivation, gasoline direct injection with central injector position and sophisticated thermal management contribute. According to NEDC combined, the sportiest Cayenne models consume 11.4 to 11.2 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers. In keeping with the impressive driving performance, the GTS-specifically configured sports exhaust system ensures a highly emotional sound experience. The standard, externally mounted exhaust system has been designed to produce a sporty, voluminous sound image with an independent character. A new development is the high-frequency tuned sports exhaust system with two centrally positioned, oval tailpipes, which is offered exclusively for the Cayenne GTS Coupé and in future also for the Cayenne Turbo Coupé - in each case in conjunction with the optional lightweight sports package".
