The Audi A6 e-tron concept - Fast charging, long range

At the heart of the drive technology of the Audi A6 e-tron concept and all future PPE models will be 800-volt charging technology. As in the Audi e-tron GT, the technology ensures that the battery can be charged in the shortest possible time at fast charging stations with an output of up to 270 kW. For the first time, this revolutionary technology is moving into the volume segments of the mid- and luxury classes with the PPE. This technology allows charging times that approach those of a classic refueling stop for combustion engine-powered cars. Just ten minutes is all it takes to recharge the battery for more than 300 kilometers. In less than 25 minutes, the charge level of the 100 kWh battery of the Audi A6 e-tron concept can be increased from 5 to 80 percent. Together with a range of - depending on the drive variant and power - more than 700 kilometers, the Audi A6 e-tron concept is uncompromisingly suitable for first cars. And it keeps pace with internal combustion cars in terms of range and charging speed, making it the perfect all-rounder for everyday motoring - for short-distance use as well as for travel. In terms of dynamic qualities, the Audi A6 e-tron concept even outshines its combustion engine rivals - as is typical for an e-car. Thanks to the high torque available from the very first revolution, even economically designed entry-level variants will accelerate to 100 km/h in less than seven seconds. In sporty top models, this sprint can even be reduced to well under four seconds."
