In Nuremberg, a lot has been happening in recent weeks regarding the energy crisis. First, the city's landmarks were no longer illuminated at night, a new solar factory was installed on the roof of the Albrecht Dürer Airport parking garage, and there are plans for a solar farm on the roof of the Nuremberg Trade Fair. There are also plans for energy-saving measures from the state level. Nuremberg's Lord Mayor Marcus König, however, wants to do even more and is calling on citizens. Citizens challenged According to him, everyone should be able to save in their everyday lives. Be it by taking colder showers, shopping ahead or switching off appliances. König sees no wind power in Bavaria When it comes to the expansion of renewable energies, he does not see any need to catch up in Bavaria, unlike the experts. He would rather rely on supply from the north through wind power, but also recognizes the need for power lines.  Nuclear power for him short-term alternative The mayor also has a clear opinion on the subject of nuclear power. And he agrees with the experts. Nuclear power should be used at least for a while until the situation eases again.  The topic of energy is more present than ever in politics, even here on site. Everyone agrees that we have to save and look for alternatives. However, only the future will show which measures will be effective and which energy path is the best.
