Marathon World Champion and European Champion Andreas Seewald from Germany was able to play to his strengths best with his Czech partner Martin Stošek. They crossed the finish line first in a race that was never threatened and take over the yellow leader's jersey in the overall classification. In the women's category race, Sofía Gómez Villafane (ARG) and Haley Batten (USA) won the stage and took the overall lead, securing the orange leader's jerseys ahead of stage 2.

Charles Brodel aus Frankreich und Fred Hope aus den USA. Charles fährt mit einem Foil Kite, Straps, mit Boardoffs und perfekten Landungen. Er sicherte sich Platz 1 in der Qualifikationsrunde mit 25.60 Punkten. Knapp dahinter auf Platz 2 fuhr Fred Hope, der besonders mit seinen technischen Fähigkeiten beeindrucken konnte. Auf Platz drei folgte Maxime Chabloz (SUI) mit riesigen board offs.
