In the new Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-In Hybrid Q4, the tried-and-tested DNA control for selecting the driving programs becomes a symbol of efficient sportiness. The functions behind each mode have been revised in light of the vehicle's specific drive technology to further enhance efficiency and performance. Depending on the position of the DNA control, the response of the Q4 all-wheel drive system, the engines, the transmission and the electronic driver assistance systems are automatically calibrated using preset parameters. This avoids the distraction from road traffic that manual management of individual menu items might cause. The DYNAMIC mode makes full use of the vehicle's performance capabilities while tuning the steering to be particularly direct. NATURAL mode activates all-wheel drive. The interaction of the combustion engine and electric motor is controlled automatically with a focus on energy and fuel savings without sacrificing performance. In ADVANCED EFFICIENCY mode, the new Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-In Hybrid Q4 is programmed for maximum energy efficiency in all-electric driving mode. This mode also allows entry into environmental zones where only electric driving is permitted. ADVANCED EFFICIENCY also provides two additional functions. In so-called sailing, the drive is completely decoupled when the accelerator pedal is released to allow the vehicle to continue rolling with less resistance. When driving downhill, a light press on the accelerator or brake pedal activates the electronic hill descent control (eCoasting Descent Control). The new Alfa Romeo Tonale Plug-In Hybrid Q4 then maintains a speed of a constant 50 km/h.

Turning the ordinary into the extraordinary by offering the best products in the compact sports car segment is the mission of Abarth, a brand which has always been synonymous with Italian performance and style. Today, just a few weeks before its 73rd anniversary, the Scorpion stings once again with the introduction of its new 595 range, which pays homage to the inventiveness of its founder Carlo Abarth (1908 - 1979). Always part of Abarth’s DNA, it was the concept of upgrading which guided the work of the designers, engineers and technicians in to redesign the 2022’s range of timeless icons. Now available in two models and power levels, the Abarth 595 with 165 hp and Abarth 695 with 180 hp have special features to provide emotions to both customers who are more concerned with style and those for whom performance is a must. Both versions offer thrilling performance, a roaring exhaust, an irreverent and playful, yet bold, style and, of course, the joy of driving. Starting from these “basics”, the customers can build the car best fit for their tastes and needs, thanks to the four packs made with the most authentic Abarth traditions in mind. One instantly recalls Scorpion’s legendary tuning kits, which turned standard vehicles into unbeatable race cars in the Sixties. While preserving the brand’s dual soul with regard to its respective target customers, today a customized driving can still be achieved with one of four conversion packs. The Abarth 595 can be equipped with the “595 Turismo Pack”, more focused on style, and the “F595 Pack”, which emphasizes performance. Similarly, the already exclusive Abarth 695 can be further customized with the refined “695 Turismo Pack” or with the “695 Competizione Pack”.
