The Kuga plug-in hybrid can travel up to 56 kilometers (WLTP) in pure electric mode, and thus locally emission-free, making it ideal for journeys in urban low-emission zones, for example. According to anonymized data collected by Ford, users of a Kuga plug-in hybrid have covered 49 percent of their mileage so far this year using only externally sourced battery power - i.e., electricity that flowed from a public or private outlet.
