Direct from the racetracks of Europe comes the new Abarth F595: The new special series is dedicated to the young fans of the brand with the scorpion in its logo. A powerful engine that draws 121 kW (165 hp) from 1.4 liters of displacement is eager to "get going." The engine is also the basis for the Tatuus monoposti used in the German and Italian Formula 4 powered by Abarth. The "F" in the name is intended as a tribute to Formula 4, for which Abarth is the exclusive engine supplier and title sponsor. The racing series aims to train talented drivers and enable them to make the leap from karting to professional motorsport. The legendary "Formula Italia" was launched with the same intention in 1971: at that time, promising young drivers were offered low-cost access to the world of formula cars. The new Abarth F595 is a combination of racing technology and design. The car was developed to appeal to younger customers who expect maximum performance and driving pleasure from their car. It is aimed at technology fans who also want to be up to date in terms of infotainment.

Mazda is making only minor changes to the CX-5 for 2020. The company's i-Activsense suite of driver-assistance features is now standard across the lineup and includes automated emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, automatic high-beam headlamps, and more. All models receive a new key fob we expect to match that of the new Mazda 3 sedan and hatchback, as well as Mazda's newly updated fonts on interior switches and exterior badging. Grand Touring Reserve and Signature models receive a new 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen display. The CX-5's standard 187-hp four-cylinder engine has great throttle response when pulling away from stoplights or hustling around town, so it feels quicker than it actually is. It's at higher speeds, such as when trying to pass or merge onto the freeway, that it feels underpowered. The 250-hp turbocharged version we tested provided much quicker acceleration, shooting from zero to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds. While the turbo engine also pairs with a snappy six-speed automatic transmission, it can only be had with all-wheel drive.

Efficient, emotive and electrifying – these attributes neatly sum up the ENYAQ iV. In launching its first all-electric SUV, the Czech car manufacturer has taken the biggest step yet in its electromobility strategy. The new ENYAQ iV is the first ŠKODA production model to be based on Volkswagen Group’s MEB modular electric car platform. It is built at ŠKODA’s main plant in Mladá Boleslav, making it the only MEB-based model in Europe to be manufactured outside of Germany. ŠKODA’s new flagship boasts generous amounts of space as is typical of the brand, and – thanks to its emotive design language – its appearance is electrifying too. Inside, new Design Selections replace the classic trim levels, while a clear and new structure of the options available means the car can be configured with just a few clicks. The ENYAQ iV comes with rear- or all-wheel drive, and there are five power levels and three battery sizes to choose from. The range of more than 520 km in the WLTP cycle is perfectly suitable for travelling long distances. The car will be launched in the spring of 2021.

Now, in a world premiere, Volkswagen is set to unveil the next evolutionary stage of the Polo; presales will start in May already. The design, technologies and specification matrix of the bestseller have had a comprehensive update, as is immediately obvious when you see the vehicle’s new front and rear. And the range of standard equipment has been expanded significantly. On board every model you will now find: LED headlights and LED tail light clusters, the Digital Cockpit (digital instruments), an infotainment system and a multifunction steering wheel, among other things. In addition, the Polo now offers partly automated driving across its entire speed range thanks to the optional IQ.DRIVE Travel Assist system. Other new features include interactive IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights and operation of the automatic air conditioning via touchscreen.
