Honda HR-V e:HEV exterior design

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

With its forward-striving character lines and sleek surfaces, the new HR-V embodies the modernity of Honda's current design philosophy, as expressed in other new Honda models. The HR-V's sleek silhouette is defined by the 10 mm increase in ground clearance compared to the previous model and the simultaneous 20 mm lowered roofline. The powerful SUV character is also enhanced by the standard 18-inch wheels and the shorter front overhang. The harmonious design is evident in the smooth surfaces and design features integrated into the body shape. For example, the headlights, body-color grille and distinctive lower air intake blend virtually seamlessly into the front end, giving it an elegant and bold appearance. A continuous shoulder line runs from the front headlights to the taillights, underscoring the vehicle's dynamic forward styling. The front and rearward offset A-pillars result in a coupe-like silhouette with a long hood and visually rearward cabin. The well-proportioned rear combines utility and aesthetics in the cleanly designed tailgate with hidden handle.
