The new Mercedes EQS - innovative aesthetics in an unmistakable purpose design

The EQS is the first fully electric premium sedan from Mercedes-EQ. The innovative and holistic design is based on a new vehicle architecture. At first glance, it differs from vehicles with a combustion engine: the highest demands on function and aerodynamics are combined with innovative aesthetics in the unmistakable purpose design. Sensual clarity is reflected in generously modeled surfaces, reduced joints and seamless transitions (seamless design). The sporty, deep and flat front of the EQS forms a coupé-like silhouette with an arch stretched taut across the greenhouse (one bow). The A-pillar, which is drawn far to the front, and the C-pillar at the rear create space for a spacious passenger cell. The cab-forward design is unique in this segment: the overhangs and the front end are short, the rear is smoothly rounded. The flush-positioned, almost 75 cm large wheels in dimensions from 19 to 22 inches give the EQS a sporty character together with muscular shoulders. The design philosophy of sensual clarity is implemented with the clear, generous and surface-accentuated modeling.
