Alpine enters the top class of endurance racing with the A480

With the new A480, the Alpine Endurance Team will compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2021. After eight successful years in the LMP2 class, Alpine is entering the sports prototype in the top hypercar category for the first time. With Nicolas Lapierre, André Negrão and Matthieu Vaxivière, the team has signed three drivers with endurance racing experience. The season starts on April 26/27 at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Like its involvement in Formula 1, the new endurance racing project represents the Alpine brand's commitment to racing. "Motorsport is an inseparable part of Alpine. After eight LMP2 years, it is now time to enter the top class as the brand is also making a fresh start," says Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine. "The regulations offer us the opportunity to demonstrate our technical know-how and experience in a fair and cost-effective framework. We will do our best in every race to let Alpine's colors shine at the highest level of motorsport," Rossi continued.
