Sopron is a city with county law in northwestern Hungary, southwest of Lake Neusiedl. It has over 60,000 inhabitants and is located in Győr-Moson-Sopron County. The city area is crossed by the Ikva River and protrudes like a thorn into Austrian territory. The distance from Budapest is about 220 KM, from Vienna only about 60 KM. Around Sopron you can enjoy wonderful nature.
