Nissan is fine-tuning its most aerodynamically efficient crossover model to date: The all-electric Nissan Ariya, which rolls out later this year, is said to have an excellent drag coefficient of 0.297. Based on its experience with crossovers dating back to 2007 and its technical expertise with electric cars, Nissan demonstrates great attention to detail - also and especially in the design: from the precisely shaped body lines to the strategically placed air ducts, every element of the Ariya has been analyzed and worked out down to the smallest detail to optimize the long-distance capability of the coupe crossover. The goal is even greater range. The flat underbody minimizes drag while contributing to stable and predictable handling. The sophisticated intelligent aerodynamic shield at the front and the clear body lines also reduce drag. The result is an optimal blend of clean style and aerodynamic performance.
