Ice hockey national coach Toni Söderholm has named the final World Cup squad - anticipation for tournament start in Riga

Ice field hockey national coach Toni Söderholm and his coaching team have made the final personnel decisions and nominated the squad of the German national ice hockey team for the IIHF World Championship 2021 in Riga (May 21 to June 6). The team of the German Ice Hockey Federation e.V. will travel to Latvia on Saturday with 24 players and will be further strengthened by three additional professionals from North America. With charter flights from the NHL, Tobias Rieder (Buffalo Sabres), Lean Bergmann (San Jose Sharks) and Leon Gawanke (Manitoba Moose/AHL) will travel directly to the World Championship venue and increase the DEB line-up to 27 players. The anticipation is growing day by day, as Toni Söderholm and defenseman Dominik Bittner confirm.
