RKI reports 8,497 new Corona infections on Easter Monday

In Germany, almost 8500 new Corona infections have been reported within one day. As the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) announced on Monday morning, citing information from health authorities, 8497 new cases of infection and 50 new deaths were registered. A week ago, the RKI had recorded 9872 new infections and 43 new deaths within one day. The RKI pointed out that around the Easter holidays, fewer tests would be made and reported.
