There is a story of the donkey in the Rabbinic Tales that I find very interesting because it reveals many things that are worth considering. It relates: A farmer came in the evening from the field with his donkeys. He tied nine of his donkeys to stakes in front of the farm and then realized that he had lost the tenth rope. What now? A rabbi came along the way and asked him what he should do to prevent the donkey from running away.
