Audi Winter Experience - Precisely defined tuning philosophy

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

Audi defines controlled handling by precise and predictable steering behavior in curves. In order to achieve the desired driving characteristics, the developers follow a defined set-up philosophy during the test drives on snow and ice. For example, the vehicle should spontaneously follow the steering input at the entrance to the bend. Easy handling at the apex of the curve and low correction effort at the exit are also among the mandatory criteria. The result: a yaw response that always matches the steering angle and slightly oversteering but never understeering handling, which Audi achieves with technologies such as torque vectoring, the twin motor on the e-tron S or the torque splitter on the RS 3. "We use objective and subjective criteria to describe how an Audi should drive," summarizes developer Oswin Roeder. "But the subjective is decisive for us, because it's what drivers ultimately feel."
