The new T-Class also has a lot to offer in terms of safety equipment. In addition to tire pressure monitoring and the Mercedes-Benz emergency call system, numerous driving assistance systems are on board as standard. These include Hill Start Assist, Crosswind Assist, ATTENTION ASSIST drowsiness warning system, Active Brake Assist with Crossing Function, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Assist and Speed Limit Assist. The Driving Assistance package is available as an option, which also includes DISTRONIC Active Distance Assist (also selectable as an individual option) and Active Steering Assist. The optional Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC and rear-view camera provides greater convenience and safety when parking and backing out. In combination with the optional trailer coupling, the T-Class also features Trailer Stabilization Assist. The high active safety level is further enhanced by the optional LED High Performance headlights (standard for Line Progressive). They offer greater safety at night thanks to wide light distribution and a light color similar to daylight. They also require less energy.
