The new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer - sportiness and long-distance comfort in optimized harmony

The chassis technology of the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is designed to combine brand-typical sportiness with driving comfort that is convincing in every situation. The prerequisites for this are given by the weight and rigidity-optimized design of the body, the long wheelbase and the wider track widths compared to the previous model. With the targeted further development of the single-joint spring strut axle installed at the front and the three-link rear axle, steering precision and agility are increased. Traction and driving stability benefit from the standard wheel slip limiter close to the actuator. Other innovations include the integrated brake system and the stroke-dependent additional damping on the front axle.
