2022 Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric Highlights

The Volvo C40 Recharge Pure Electric is the first model in the company's history to be designed exclusively for electric drive. The all-electric crossover model is based on the compact modular architecture (CMA) developed together with Geely, which brings the economies of scale needed in this vehicle class. The Volvo C40 Recharge combines the rugged SUV character of the Volvo XC40 with a sporty, elegant coupe-style roofline. This results not only in a unique design, but also in improved aerodynamics. While the roof merges into a strikingly designed rear end, the front reflects the new face of all-electric Volvo models: with a clad radiator grille in body color and brand-typical "Thor's Hammer" headlights, which here use pixel LED technology for the first time. The intelligently designed interior combines clever solutions with the high seating position typical of SUVs and plenty of space for occupants and luggage. Model-specific color and décor variants set the tone, as does the interior, which is completely leather-free for the first time at Volvo.
