The new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer - Advanced premium ambience and versatile interior functionality

The size and versatile usability of the interior are showcased in the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer through a fundamental redesign. The geometry as well as numerous details are based on the interior concept of the technology flagship BMW iX. This creates an advanced premium ambience whose key features are the flat dashboard, the BMW Curved Display, the seemingly floating armrest with integrated control panel and a consistent reduction in the number of controls. The space under the armrest is used as a storage area, while the area in front of it provides space for generously dimensioned cupholders and a newly designed smartphone tray. The cell phone is stored there in the driver's and front passenger's field of vision and can optionally be charged wirelessly. With its five seats, the new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer offers noticeably enhanced long-distance comfort compared with the predecessor model. The newly developed seats, which can be adjusted in a variety of ways, are optionally available in Sensatec perforated or Vernasca leather. Sports seats with strikingly designed cheek and shoulder areas, power seat adjustment with memory function, lumbar support and a massage function are also available as optional extras. In addition to acoustic comfort, occupant protection has also been optimized. The integrated passive safety concept is extended to include a new interaction airbag between the driver and front passenger seats.
