The new Volkswagen ID.4 GTX - Positioning

Clear the stage for the first Volkswagen model with the GTX label: This abbreviation stands for a new sportiness at Volkswagen that will continue the tradition of the successful GTI, GTD and GTE models. The ID.4 GTX is thus the new top model in the all-electric ID.4 model series. Its two electric motors - one each on the rear and front axles - together deliver 220 kW (299 hp) of maximum power03 and work together as an electric dual-motor all-wheel drive system. This technology offers high driving stability and large power reserves - in short: more driving pleasure. The compact ID.4 GTX will be launched on European markets in summer 2021. In Germany, its base price is 50,415 euros, on which the customer can apply for a 7,500 euro subsidy (net). The abbreviation GTX denotes the sporty top model of the respective ID. model series. Similar to GTI, GTE and GTD, it stands for its own product brand - it charges the world of electric mobility from Volkswagen with new, modern sportiness. The letters GT have long signaled driving pleasure, and now the X bridges the gap to the mobility of the future: sustainability and sportiness are not mutually exclusive, but complement each other perfectly.
