The new Nissan Qashqai - advanced driver assistance system ProPILOT

The new Qashqai is equipped with the next generation of the ProPILOT assistance system. It's called "ProPILOT with Navi-Link" and offers even more driver support - in more situations than before. The system reduces fatigue and stress on the driver and can be operated intuitively at the same time. ProPILOT with Navi-Link can accelerate and brake the vehicle within a lane on motorways to a set speed. In dense stop-and-go traffic, the vehicle is braked to a standstill if necessary. If the Qashqai stands still for less than three seconds and the vehicles in front drive off, it automatically starts moving again. The steering system and camera continuously record the position of the vehicle and keep it in the lane. The preset speed is maintained, but also a safe distance from the vehicle in front. In the new Nissan Qashqai, the system is now able to adapt the speed to additional external circumstances, such as a temporary speed limit that is determined with the help of traffic sign recognition and the data from the navigation system. In such a case, the system automatically decelerates the Qashqai and accelerates it again to the previous speed as soon as the limitation is lifted
