The high-speed record of the Lamborghini Urus Super SUV on the ice of Lake Baikal during the Days-of-Speed has been officially confirmed by the Russian Automobile Federation RAF, member of FIA. Russian driver and 18-time record holder of the Days-of-Speed, Andrey Leontyev, tells about his experience in setting records. Reaching a top speed of 298 km/h and an average speed of 114 km/h from a standstill at 1,000 meters, the Lamborghini Urus demonstrated above-average performance and exceptional handling despite reduced grip due to the slippery ice surface and strong gusts of wind. Born and raised in Moscow, Andrey Leontyev possessed a strong passion for engines and cars from an early age: he disassembled them as a child, reported on them during his career as a journalist, and drove them during his truck racing years. But his goal and eternal dream was to drive the fastest cars in the world and set world records under extreme conditions.
