The E-Type Collection models are sold exclusively in pairs and are painted exclusively in "Flat Out Grey" (Coupé) or "Drop Everything Green (Roadster). Both colors draw their inspiration from the original 1961 colors and will not be used by Jaguar on any future model. In addition, the gems are adorned with a number of special E-Type 60 design elements created in collaboration with Jaguar design director Julian Thomson. Modern additions that improve everyday usability and drivability include a five-speed manual transmission (the originals had only four forward gears) and an optimized cooling system; complemented by the Jaguar Classic Infotainment System with integrated satellite navigation and Bluetooth interface. The most striking visual highlight is an engraving by artist and designer King Nerd on the center console. It recalls the original models' driving route from Coventry to Geneva. Each of these works of art is the result of over 100 hours of handiwork, in consultation with the subsequent owner.

For those who find a conventional estate car less than suitable off-road, and an SUV too high-legged, Mercedes-Benz now offers an all-rounder as an alternative in the C-Class segment: the C-Class All-Terrain. Following the introduction of the successful All-Terrain concept with the E-Class in spring 2017, the C-Class is now also launching as a second multi-talent with a striking look and versatile capabilities. With around 40 millimetres more ground clearance than the conventional C-Class Estate, 4MATIC all-wheel drive as standard and two off-road driving modes, the C-Class All-Terrain makes light work of light terrain such as unmetalled tracks with its larger wheels. The off-road design features include the distinctive radiator grille, the special bumpers, the simulated underride guard at the front and rear and the wheel arch linings in matt dark grey. In addition, the crossover model features many highlights of the just recently launched new C‑Class. These include efficient four-cylinder engines with 48-volt technology, the adaptive and intuitive MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, and the latest generation of driving assistance systems. DIGITAL LIGHT (optional equipment) includes a special off-road light. The C-Class All-Terrain will celebrate its world premiere at the International Motor Show in Munich in September, and will reach European dealers later this year.

The technological progress in the area of aerodynamics is particularly apparent. It is the first time that a suspended rear wing has been fitted on a Porsche series production car. Its swan-neck mounting is used in a similar form in the GT racing car 911 RSR and the one-make cup racing car 911 GT3 Cup. Since two aluminium brackets now hold the wing element from above, the airflow can pass undisturbed across the underside, which is aerodynamically more sensitive. This new design led to a reduction in the flow losses and not only increased the downforce, but also resulted in well-balanced negative lift conditions together with many other detailed measures. “We developed the aerodynamics of the new 911 GT3 in around 700 simulations. We spent more than 160 hours fine-tuning the car in the wind tunnel,” explains aerodynamics engineer Mathias Roll.
