Play by Fritz Hochwälder May 26th to June 2nd, 2021 - Forum III (every day except Sunday) 8 p.m. - approx. 10 p.m. (including break) A refugee tries to get to safety from totalitarian rulers and escapes to the border guards' house, where the woman hides him. When the soldiers break into the house, she pretends to be her husband. A house in a wild, rugged mountain landscape near the national border. The border guard and his wife live here. The country is occupied by hostile rulers. These hunt down residents of the area in order to take them to the mines in the neighboring region for forced labor. One night - the border guard is on night duty - a strange man suddenly stands in the bedroom of the mountain hut. He managed to escape from the pursuers, but they are right on his heels and the next moment they break into the house. The refugee sees no other way out than to slip into the woman's bed. How will she behave? Will she hand him over? Will she protect him? But what role then falls to her husband, the border guard, who is under orders to shoot all the refugees?
