Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

The new hybrid engine fully exploits the strengths of the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi alliance. The drive system includes a new-generation Nissan internal combustion engine with 69 kW/94 hp and 148 Nm of torque, which was specially developed for use in a hybrid vehicle. The electric motor is also supplied by Nissan. This develops 36 kW/49 hp and 205 Nm of torque. Alliance partner Renault is contributing a 15 kW high-voltage starter generator, an inverter, the water-cooled 1.2 kWh hybrid battery and the innovative transmission. The result is a powertrain that is 25 percent more powerful than current petrol engines. At the same time, fuel consumption is reduced by up to 40 percent in city traffic and by up to 20 percent in the combined standard cycle (all information subject to homologation)
