High accolade for ŠKODA AUTO: The European New Car Assessment Program (Euro NCAP) has placed the all-electric ŠKODA ENYAQ iV SUV and the fourth generation of the ŠKODA FABIA among the best in their class of the test year 2021. The two models are thus the safest of all vehicles in their classes tested in 2021. With 86 percent of the total possible points, the ENYAQ iV is the safest SUV to date in the reference test for crash safety. With 78 percent, the new FABIA sets the top value among the compact cars tested in 2021. ŠKODA AUTO is the only manufacturer to have two vehicles in the “Best in Class 2021” series. Since 2008, all 14 newly introduced ŠKODA models have received the maximum five-star rating in the Euro NCAP test. Euro NCAP regularly compiles a list of the vehicles that have performed best in their class in the reference test for crash safety within a year. For 2021, these “best in class” include two ŠKODA models: the ŠKODA ENYAQ iV in the SUV class and the ŠKODA FABIA in the compact car class. ŠKODA is the only manufacturer to have two class winners in 2021. ENYAQ iV and FABIA are the 13th and 14th new ŠKODA models in a row to have received the top five-star rating without exception since 2008. In 2014, the third generation of the FABIA had already received the award for being the best in its class. Since the requirements in the Euro NCAP test are becoming increasingly strict, a comparison of the best in class is only possible for the respective calendar years 2020 and 2021. This ensures that the vehicles were subjected to the same test conditions
