The Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 conquers the road

For the first time since its unveiling in Pebble Beach on August 13, 2021, the Lamborghini Countach LPI 800-4 has taken to public roads. For this special occasion, the new supercar was accompanied by two of its most distinguished predecessors: the first Countach LP 400 and the last Countach 25° Anniversario. The dynamic driving experience together with two main representatives of the company's historic model collection produced truly exceptional images. The Countach LPI 800-4 boasts a total output of 814 hp. It is equipped with a 6.5-liter Lamborghini V12 engine with an output of 780 hp. Added to this is a 48-volt electric motor directly coupled to the transmission, which provides an additional 34 hp for direct response and improved performance. The electric motor is powered by a supercapacitor that delivers three times the power of a lithium-ion battery of the same weight.

Elantra N is powered by a 2.0-liter turbo flat power engine with a 52-mm turbine wheel, which is 5 mm larger in diameter than before, and a 12.5-mm turbine passage with an area increased by 2.5 mm. These enhancements, along with the optimization of the shape and material of the cylinder lock, improve both the performance and durability of the engine. As a result, the flat power technology maintains the maximum output from about 5,500 rpm for brisk acceleration. Elantra N’s flat power engine is mated with an 8-speed wet dual clutch transmission (DCT), delivering maximum output of 280 horsepower (ps) and maximum torque of 40 kgf·m. With N Grin Shift (NGS), the boost pressure increases, temporarily enhancing output up to 290 ps. As a result, Elantra N achieves a top speed of 250 km/h and runs 0-100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds.

A number of new technologies optimize the precision and control of the chassis in a wide variety of weather and road conditions. The standard electronic damper control (Electronic Control Suspension, ECS) in the GT-line version increases comfort and safety thanks to the continuous damping control. The system reacts to body movements and steering inputs and changes the damping behavior at lightning speed in order to counteract the vehicle's diving, pitching and rolling movements when cornering. It also adjusts the damping force in the case of obstacles in order to cope with them as comfortably as possible and to reduce the influence of post-vibrations on the wheels. A premiere for the Sportage is the “All-Terrain-Mode”, which will be available for the plug-in hybrid version with all-wheel drive. The system offers intelligent support when driving off-road or on snow by automatically optimizing the vehicle settings depending on the selected mode and thus helping the SUV to achieve maximum traction on muddy, sandy or snowy surfaces.
