New Fiat 500 named “Small Car of the Year” in Great Britain

The new, fully electric Fiat 500 has received the “Small Car of the Year” award at the “News UK Motor Awards 2021” in Great Britain. News UK Motor media group, which includes The Times, The Sunday Times, Driving.co.uk, The Sun and talkSport, hosted the competition for the fourth time. Specialist journalists first made a pre-selection before the winners are determined in a survey among the readers. The title “Small Car of the Year” at the “News UK Motor Awards” is already the tenth that the new Fiat 500 has won in Great Britain. The trophy collection already includes the awards for “Green Car” at the “French Automobile Awards 2020” and for “Car of the Year and Best Small Electric Car” from the “DrivingElectric” internet portal. The new Fiat 500 also won the “Best Design 2020” awards from “Auto Motor und Sport” in Germany and “Best Design Concept” at the international “Red Dot Design Awards”. The new Fiat 500 is currently the best-selling city car in Europe. In this segment, it has a European market share of almost 28 percent. The new Fiat 500 is also the market leader in the city car segment in twelve countries and the best-selling electric car in Italy overall. After being launched in Europe, Israel and Brazil, the new Fiat 500 is also well on the way to becoming the first fully electric city car available on the global market
