With the Q4 e-tron, Audi presents a true all-rounder - it is a superior companion for everyday and leisure driving and is suitable in every respect as a first car. At 4,590 millimeters in length, 1,865 millimeters in width and 1,613 millimeters in height, the Q4 e-tron's exterior dimensions place it in the segment of larger compact SUVs. However, the architecture of the modular e-drive system (MEB), on which Audi's compact e-SUV is based, enables a completely new layout. The front overhang measures just 86 centimeters, while the wheelbase is a generous 2.76 meters - even more than in the mid-size SUV segment. The resulting interior space of 1.83 meters is even similar in length to that of a large luxury SUV.

Development laboratories at Volkswagen in Salzgitter - Next Generation battery cells - Robustness and Safety Lab

Volkswagen Group Components has opened one of the most modern laboratories for cell research and development in Europe in Salzgitter, Germany. Thus, the global Volkswagen Group is further expanding its expertise in battery technology and taking the next step towards developing and producing its own battery cells for electric vehicles. From 2025 onwards, the Volkswagen unified cell is scheduled to roll off the production line in Salzgitter. In the future, around 250 experts will conduct research in the areas of cell development, analytics and testing in a total of four laboratories. The Group is investing some 70 million euros in the facilities. The new unified cell for the volume segment is scheduled to roll off the production line at the Gigafactory in Salzgitter from 2025. By 2030, the Volkswagen Group plans to operate six cell factories in Europe together with partners with a production capacity of 240 GWh. Prospectively, cells with an annual capacity of 40 GWh could be produced in Salzgitter. The new unified cell is expected to unlock synergies and reduce battery costs by up to 50 percent.

The new Mercedes-Benz GLC AMG Line Track driving

The new GLC is immediately recognisable as a member of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family. Standard equipment includes the AVANTGARDE exterior with Chrome package including chrome window surrounds and a new, chrome-look simulated underguard. This adds striking design features and enhances the unique proportions of the vehicle. One of the defining design highlights of the GLC is the redesigned front end, with headlamps that connect directly to the radiator grille to emphasise the vehicle’s width, and the new radiator grille as part of the standard AVANTGARDE exterior, which now has a chrome surround and a sporty louvre in matt grey with chrome trim. The AMG Line has a radiator grille with Mercedes-Benz pattern. The body design is characterised by a full, spanned surface design enriched with precisely shaped edges in the sides. These emphasise the proportions, accentuate the muscular wheel arches and create a balance between elegance and off-road performance. Wheel arch liners in the vehicle colour are available from the AMG Line upwards for the first time. These accentuate the sportiness of the AMG Line, as optional equipment in conjunction with mixed tyres. Also available as an optional extra are easy-entry running boards and, from the AMG Line upwards, a Night package.
