New Hyundai IONIQ 5 triumphs in its first comparative test

Now the trade journal Auto Zeitung has subjected the new E-CUV to an initial comparative test and named it the clear winner. In issue 18/2021, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 with its large battery, all-wheel drive and 305 hp relegates the German premium competition Audi Q4 e-tron 50 quattro and BMW iX3 to the ranks. Hyundai IONIQ 5 ahead in three test categories According to the criteria of the trade journal Auto Zeitung, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 wins the three categories engine/transmission, driving dynamics and costs/environment and ultimately takes a commanding first place with an overall score of 3267 points, 80 points ahead of the runner-up. In their conclusion, the testers highlight consistently positive features of the Hyundai E-CUV: "The test winner Hyundai IONIQ 5, with its innovative space concept, polarizing looks and impeccable infotainment system, namely meets all the requirements of a car of the next E-generation. The ultra-fast charging technology is unrivaled in this price range - as is the eight-year warranty." The new Hyundai IONIQ 5's overall victory is also helped by its convincing steering, traction and braking performance, the best acceleration measured in the test from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.1 seconds, and the electric vehicle's towing capacity of up to 1,600 kilograms.
