Honda launches safety system with Level 3 driving functions

New Honda SENSING Elite safety technology enables Level 3 automated driving under certain conditions and will be used in the Honda Legend Hybrid EX, which will be available for lease in Japan starting March 5. Honda SENSING Elite builds on Honda SENSING safety technology, which is standard on all vehicles offered in Europe. New features include the "Traffic Jam Pilot" function, which enables Level 3 automated driving (conditional autonomous driving in certain traffic situations). Honda has received the relevant approval for this from Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). The Traffic Jam Pilot function can take over driving from the driver in certain situations, such as in heavy traffic or on the highway. The automated driving system uses various data and sensors. The vehicle's position and traffic conditions are recorded on the basis of three-dimensional, high-resolution maps, global navigation satellite data and 360-degree monitoring of the immediate vehicle environment. A camera mounted in the passenger compartment simultaneously monitors the driver. Based on this information, the main control unit (ECU) is able to detect and assess traffic situations and provide high-level control of acceleration, deceleration as well as steering to offer powerful and smooth driving assistance."

EQA is the name of the new entry-level model to the all-electric world of Mercedes-EQ vehicles. The electro-aesthetics of its design are indicative of the Progressive Luxury of the Mercedes-EQ brand. Smart assistants support the driver in many areas: for example with respect to accident avoidance, the anticipatory and therefore particularly efficient operating strategy, and Navigation with Electric Intelligence. In addition, the car features various exceptional Mercedes-Benz functions, such as ENERGIZING Comfort and MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). The EQA is a member of the successful compact car family from Mercedes-Benz. A close relation of the GLA, it delivers all the thrilling characteristics of that vehicle, combined in this case with an efficient electric powertrain. The new EQA is being built in Rastatt (Germany) and Beijing (China). The battery systems for the EQA are supplied by the Mercedes-Benz subsidiary Accumotive in Kamenz. The battery factory in Jawor, Poland, is also preparing to produce battery systems for the compact Mercedes-EQ models. From the spring of 2021, the electric SUV will be available from the European dealerships.

The new ŠKODA ENYAQ COUPÉ iV makes a statement with its dynamic looks and sporty, elegant lines. It complements the successfully launched ŠKODA ENYAQ iV, adding an even more emotive variant to the range. The ENYAQ COUPÉ RS iV also marks the debut of the brand’s first all-electric member of the sporty RS family. While the roofline gently slopes towards the rear from the B-pillar, the new coupé offers plenty of space in the rear and a boot capacity of 570 l. Just like in the ENYAQ iV, the classic trim levels for the interior have been replaced with the Design Selections. There is a choice of two battery sizes, rear- or all-wheel drive, and four power variants with outputs ranging from 132 kW to 220 kW (RS variant). The outstanding drag coefficient (cd) of 0.234 is even better than that of the ENYAQ iV and, depending on the specification, enables a range of more than 540 km in the WLTP cycle.

Since 1967, the year the first units were sold in Italy, the V7 has become a cornerstone of the product range, representative of the ultimate Italian motorcycle and standing out for its content and design, highly popular with a wide and varied public. More than fifty years after the launch of the first unit, Moto Guzzi is proud to present the new V7, the most recent chapter of a unique history. The revamping is so profound that Moto Guzzi opted to change the name too: V7, without the progressive numbering with Roman numerals that had characterised the previous models - a testament to the almost total change from every point of view, even involving the chassis architecture and the engine. You wouldn't think so at first glance, and that is perhaps the highest compliment that could be paid the eagle brand designers and engineers in Mandello who have once again demonstrated their passion and skill in improving a legendary model like the V7, leaving its character and authenticity unaltered, values destined to last over time. Two versions are available: alongside the Stone, the most minimalist model with modern content, is the Special which, as always, remains the most classic and elegant.
