The Lamborghini Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae - Power and Performance

Source: AutoMotoTV (Glomex)

The elegant lines of the Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae belie the performance of this latest model. The 6.5-liter, 12-cylinder "Longitudinale Posteriore" (LP) engine delivers 780 horsepower to the permanent all-wheel drive system: 40 more horsepower than the Aventador S and 10 more horsepower than the SVJ. The LP 780-4 Ultimae pays tribute to the instinctive character, power and performance of Lamborghini's Aventador models of the last decade. Three things are not to be missed: the know-how gained with the SVJ powertrain on the Nürburgring Nordschleife, which brought the track record in July 2018; the technical achievements and luxury of the S model; the purity of the original Aventador concept. The grand finale of the traditional V12 internal combustion engine and the ultimate Aventador in every way. The Aventador LP 780-4's unique, extremely rigid and lightweight carbon fiber monocoque and extensive use of carbon fiber throughout the body contribute to its dry weight of just 1550 kg. The coupe version, which weighs 25 kg less than the Aventador S, boasts the same power-to-weight ratio as the SVJ of 1.98 kg/hp, accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds and delivers a top speed of 355 km/h with 720 Nm of torque at a maximum of 6750 rpm. In addition, improvements have been made to the variable valve timing (VVT) and variable intake system (VIS) to achieve an optimized torque curve. The CCB braking system decelerates from 100 km/h to a standstill in just 30 meters.
