Lamborghini celebrates 50 years of Countach in a special way: Starting this Monday, in several episodes, an inspiring personality will tell the story of the icon's legacy on social media. Kicking things off is designer Marcello Gandini, who created the futuristic lines of the super sports car in an era when developers enjoyed great stylistic and technical freedom and had to adhere to few legal and regulatory guidelines. The 1970s were a time of creativity and one of the most significant decades for design. They were years of important achievements such as journeys into space, the advent of high technology with the construction of modern computers and jet planes, to fashion trends with geometric patterns and vibrant colors. The Countach looked off the youth bedroom walls of an entire generation and was much more than an exuberant commercial success. Barely produced, it took on the role of a style and performance icon, earning its place in world automotive history.
