The new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class - the exterior design

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class expresses brand-typical experience of sophisticated luxury. Sublime beauty and pioneering technology are ingeniously combined. 18 centimeters more wheelbase than the long Mercedes-Benz S-Class stretch the vehicle. Added to this are exclusive details. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is a classic three-box sedan with perfect proportions. These are determined by the short overhang at the front, the longest wheelbase in the model family, and a balanced overhang at the rear and large wheels. Special features of the front are the independent hood with a chrome fin and the specific Mercedes-Maybach radiator grille. Its high recognition value lies in the vertical, three-dimensionally designed decorative bars. The MAYBACH word mark is beautifully integrated into the chrome frame of the grille. The bumper, which is also unique, creates even more width emphasis with the special design of the air intakes - whose black grilles are also available in a chrome version as an option. The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class also differs from its model brethren in its side view: The flowing, more upright C-pillars underscore the outstanding claim to status. The fixed window in the C-pillar is literally framed by a high-quality molded section that blends seamlessly into the side trim. A Maybach brand logo on the C-pillar emphasizes the exclusivity. In some countries, the brand symbol is illuminated. Flush door handles and specially designed wheels (19-, 20- and 21-inch sizes) reserved for this model are features of the side view. Standard ambient lighting in the exterior mirrors projects the brand logo in LED technology next to the front doors.
