On the safe side with the new Subaru Outback

Safety is a top priority for the new Subaru Outback: The sixth generation of the crossover model comes with an enhanced Eyesight system and additional safety features. As a result, occupants enjoy comprehensive all-round protection in every situation. The multi-award-winning Eyesight system, which links various assistants, has been further enhanced for the new 4.87-meter-long Outback. The most important change is that the stereo camera is now mounted directly on the windshield instead of on the rearview mirror. The extended angle of view (70 degrees compared to the previous 35 degrees) and the extended range of vision to 130 meters (previously 110 meters) result in an increased working range without any loss of precision or reliability. The emergency braking system with collision warning now detects potential hazards even earlier and can warn accordingly and intervene if necessary. At intersections in particular, the camera's wider viewing angle has a positive effect. Optimized brake control management and the newly introduced electric brake booster ensure improved deceleration.
