The Hyundai IONIQ 5 - interior design with living room character

When designing the interior, it was particularly important to the Hyundai designers to give the vehicle a living room character. At its heart is an innovative center console that functions as a multifunction island in the IONIQ 5. It can be pushed back by up to 140 millimeters. In combination with the vehicle's flat floor, this movable island allows occupants to enter and exit the vehicle flexibly, providing more freedom of movement and a high level of comfort. This special spatial experience is supported by very flexibly adjustable, heated front seats with fold-out leg rests and relax function. The driver and front passenger can recline at an ergonomically ideal angle, for example to rest during a loading operation. Passengers in the second row also benefit from the innovative design of the front seats, where Hyundai has reduced the volume of the backrests by 30 percent. The space gained as a result benefits the legroom of the rear passengers. The rear seat bench can be folded down and also moved electrically by up to 135 millimeters.
