Polestar 2 receives top rating in Euro NCAP safety test

Polestar 2 receives a 5-star rating in the Euro NCAP safety test, making it one of the safest electric vehicles ever tested by the Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) association. Polestar 2 performs with excellent results in all test criteria. The hatchback also impresses in a direct comparison with other premium electric cars outside its segment - although it should be noted that in earlier years these vehicles were assessed according to older, less stringent test protocols. Crash safety, in particular, was naturally the top priority for the car developed at the Volvo Safety Centre in Gothenburg, Sweden. The equipment of safety features in the vehicle is at the highest level. It ranges from eight airbags, including the only interior side airbags in a premium electric car currently rated by Euro NCAP to date, to the Front Lower Load Path (FLLP) and the Severe Partial Offset Collision (SPOC) block, which mitigate impact on both the battery and the passenger cell.
