World's only cadaver otter helping Florida deputies find bodies underwater
In Martin County, Florida, deputies have enlisted an unexpected new partner – an otter named Splash. Trained to detect human remains underwater, Splash uses air bubbles to capture scent trails, assisting dive teams in low-visibility waters. Believed to be the only cadaver otter in the world, Splash has already helped recover four bodies across 20 missions.
