The underdog from Ukraine has put an abrupt end to the Swedish midsummer fairy tale and sensationally reached the European Championship quarterfinals for the first time. The team of national coach Andrei Shevchenko defeated the favored Swedes 2-1 (1-1, 1-1) after extra time, but on Saturday (9 p.m.) in the clash with Germany defeat England in Rome is clearly in the role of the glaring underdog.
