In the Feuchtwangen area, there are too few general practitioners - according to the Bavarian Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians. Therefore, the establishment in certain specialties is now promoted in three areas that have been considered underserved for a long time. The funding amounts for general practitioners in the Feuchtwangen planning area, as well as for child and adolescent psychiatrists in the West Middle Franconia region, are increased by 25 percent. This means that doctors willing to establish a practice will receive a financial boost of up to 112,500 euros. Previously, it was 90,000 euros. The KVB board sees the outpatient care in the specialist areas in acute danger and hopes that young female and male doctors will be willing to establish themselves here.
