Selenskyj is already on his way to Washington, which in the process will be his first trip outside Ukraine since the Russian invasion began in February this year. The Ukrainian president's visit to the White House, which was previously kept tight because of security concerns, will include a meeting with Biden and senior administration officials and is expected to be held with the administration's intention to provide Ukraine with new defense assistance.
