The engine of the Ferrari Amalfi represents the latest evolution of the 3,855 cc V8 biturbo engine from the F154 family, one of the most awarded in recent motorsport history. In this configuration, the powertrain has been optimized to achieve a maximum power of 640 hp at 7,500 rpm, with a specific power of 166 hp/l and a rev limiter set at 7600 rpm, in order to fully exploit the continuous and increasing power curve. The performance increase was achieved through an advanced boost management system, which allows independent control of the speed of rotation of the two turbochargers with a dedicated calibration and an increase in the maximum turbo speed to 171,000 rpm. This approach has improved throttle response and precision in boost pressure management, also thanks to the introduction of dedicated pressure sensors for each bank. The new engine control unit, already adopted in models like the 296 GTB, Ferrari Purosangue, and Ferrari 12Cilindri, has allowed to fully exploit the potential of the powertrain.
